Aerial Classes and Open Practice Space
Thank you so much for your support over the last year and lets pray that 2021 will be bright and full of flight!
Open practice and classes must still be booked in online, we have increased the maximum number of people, but this is still limited to 12 people
The equipment will now be shared (in a sensible manner and being aware of how other people may feel about this), hand sanitiser must still be used.
Everyone will need to pay freedom leisure membership fee of £13.50 annually or £1.70 one off fee (this is for freedom leisure not teardrop, please pay at reception when entering). You must also register your car at reception as parking is free for those using the centre.
Aerial class: (17yrs+)
Whether you have never climbed a rope before, or if you have a little bit of experience and want to brush up on your skills this class
would suit you. This class is ideal if you have had time off (lock down!) and need to work on stamina and core strength.
In the class you will learn various climbs, a small sequence of moves on Rope Trapeze and Silks. Developing core strength and flexibility.
2 teachers present-Ben and Kellie holding a 1hr 30minute class with a led warm up at beginning of class and cool down at the end
6 Week beginners Aerial Course:
This course is ideal for those that have never done aerial before, or have done a little, or just need to refresh the basics.
Over the 6 weeks we will use trapeze, rope, silks and loop.
This will be a small supportive class; developing strength, co-ordination, getting confidence in the air, creating awareness of our bodies and movement.
I have created an afternoon class ideal for adults/parents that want to create a new skill.
This is a 6 week course; £66
3rd November- 8th December.
EVERY WEDNESDAY 1:30-2:45
Adults Intermediate Aerial class: (17yrs+)
This class is for those with aerial experience: to be able to confidently climb, go into hip-lock and catches and invert in the air.
We will work in small groups on rope and/or silks, working on moves transitions, sequences and creative play.
Adults Open Practice:
We require all participants attending the open practice to have experience in aerial skills (to be able to climb confidently, invert, hip-lock and catches) this is supervised but it is not a teacher led class.
Each person must self warm-up before practicing/ performing any aerial skills.
Specialist aerial workshops:
From time to time we run specialist aerial workshops. Always check our facebook page for up to date information.
We have recently had Boldo holding a straps masterclass, Hannahs aerial hoop workshops, Liz teaching Cloud swing and a 4 week course of beginners aerial workshop.
Kids Circus Class:
Teaching in Silks, Silks Loop, Trapeze, Rope and Hoop.
Increasing strength, flexibility, self-confidence whilst having fun and keeping healthy and fit in a safe environment.
We also teach a range of floor based circus skills: juggling, tightrope, hula-hoops, unicycles and spinning plates!
We work towards end of term shows which include circus, theatre and dance.
We have many years of experience teaching children of all ages, at many workshops and school visits.
